They preferred Dior over Dr. Seuss, Tom Ford over the Transformers and Anna Wintour over Annie. They are THE FASHIONISTAS TWO | F2, a talented group of emerging young designers and other bright, passionate souls who can think of nothing else than living and working in the fashion world. The F2 program extends academic education through scholarships, mentorships, lecture series and much more.
MISSION
• EDUCATE: It’s all about the street smarts. THE FASHIONISTAS TWO offer scholarships to local students pursuing a fashion education at the college level. The F2s also have many opportunities throughout the year to attend educational and industry-related events — think fashion shows, atelier tours, designer personal appearances and more.
• SHOWCASE: Strut your stuff. At the end of each school year, THE FASHIONISTAS TWO show off their budding superstars’ work at our Young Designer Showcase, a real-world fashion event designed to reward, support, motivate and inspire.
• MENTOR: Wax on/wax off, taken to chic new heights. THE FASHIONISTAS TWO help students achieve potentially boundless success in their academic and professional realms. The F2s offer selected students an opportunity to be part of the mentorship program with real, working professionals — in turn, developing a strong work ethic and ingrained senses of partnership and trust.
• GIVE BACK: What goes around comes around. THE FASHIONISTAS TWO students are a part of the Dallas family, not only through the F2 program but also by contributing to their community and giving back. Throughout the year, students work on charity events, gifting their time, talents and efforts. The goal? Helping those who need help.
