THE FASHIONISTAS are a non-profit organization that celebrates artists, entrepreneurs and visionaries that make-up the fashion industry. We showcase young and emerging designers through our bi-annual fashion shows and social media campaigns. Our fashion shows have showcased: Project Runway’s Shirin Askari; Khanh Nguyen and Nini Nguyen of Nha Khanh, Prashi Shah and Elizabeth Anyaa. We provide educational programming with the FASHION TALK Lecture Series, which brings our patrons closer to cutting-edge and inspirational local and international fashion insiders. Lecturers have included: Valerie Steele (Ph.D., Yale University), Director and Chief Curator of The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology (MFIT); Hamish Bowles, European Editor-at-Large at Vogue; Yeohlee Teng, preeminent US designer and board member of Council of Fashion Designers of America (CDFA). We also support students through our thriving THE FASHIONISTAS TWO | F2 program. Through mentorships, scholarships and career placement, our students are able to participate in all aspects of the fashion industry.
